Integration architecture and back-office systems
Connect your storefront to ERP, POS, warehouse, shipping, tax and payments — with one agreed source of truth for every field.
Overview
Connecting back-office systems with online commerce is where we've spent most of our careers, and where most vendors only cover one side. We design how your systems exchange data, choose connectors or custom integrations, and do much of the integration work ourselves.
Sound familiar?
- Inventory, prices, SKUs or orders that don't match between the storefront and ERP or POS
- Custom integrations on limited APIs that break on edge cases
- Fractional quantities, kits, remnants, tiered and B2B pricing that SaaS platforms don't handle natively
- Sales tax, exemptions and delivery fees not reaching the tax service correctly
- B2B orders still taken by phone and email
What we do
Architecture and data ownership
- Discovery sessions and architecture diagrams
- Master field maps between systems
- An agreed owner for every field
Prebuilt where possible, custom where needed
- Connector versus custom API decisions — prebuilt options first
- Extended APIs where the standard one falls short
- Integration testing with the connector vendor
Hands-on integration work
- SQL views, scheduled jobs, ODBC and API integrations
- Error handling so failures are seen, not silent
- Reconciliation so systems don't drift apart
ERP and the back office
- ERP reviews and demos for growing businesses
- Data preparation from legacy POS and ERP systems
- Warehouse, EDI, shipping and AR automation integrations
- Custom reports and operational dashboards

Questions we're often asked
Which systems do you integrate?
Most often NCR Counterpoint, NetSuite and Odoo on the back office, connected to Adobe Commerce and Magento, Shopify or BigCommerce — along with warehouse, shipping, tax, payment and marketing systems.
Should we use a prebuilt connector or a custom integration?
We weigh prebuilt options first. Custom integrations are rarely as simple as they look up front, so we recommend custom work only where a connector can't meet the requirement — and design error handling and reconciliation either way.
Our online and in-store inventory never match. Can you fix that?
It's one of the most common problems we solve. We agree which system owns each field, fix the sync, and add reconciliation so differences are caught instead of drifting.
