Hagar's customers need the right part for the right piece of restaurant equipment, fast. PeakBeyond™ rebuilt Hagar's parts store on Magento 2 around finding parts by manufacturer and model, connected Counterpoint to its shipping, tax, payment and receivables systems, built B2B ordering for national accounts, and now serves as Hagar's fractional IT leadership — leading the selection of a new ERP and B2B e-commerce platform.

The work
2026 – in progress
ERP and B2B e-commerce selection
The challenge
Hagar needed one ERP and a B2B e-commerce platform that work closely together, to replace Counterpoint, Magento and other systems — including a portal where customers can view and pay their invoices.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ led the selection: advising on ERP options, reviewing the e-commerce RFP and vendor proposals, and now guiding the architecture — a master field map with the ERP as the system of record, historical sales migration planning, and product architecture and ERP data first.
The result
Hagar selected a new ERP and a new B2B e-commerce platform in 2026, with PeakBeyond™ leading the selection.
August 2025 – 2026
B2B ordering sites for national accounts
The challenge
National restaurant-chain customers needed their own ordering sites with contract pricing, approvals, tax exemptions, pickup and dropship handling, all flowing into Counterpoint.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ evaluated a B2B ordering platform and led its integration with Counterpoint: product and customer imports, a quote-first order flow, order transfer with duplicate protection, shipping and invoice updates back to the sites, tax codes and exemption certificates, dropship files and store-pickup logic.
2024 – 2026
Sales tax and accounting reconciliation
The challenge
The Counterpoint and ServicePoint link to Avalara produced missing and duplicate tax transactions that needed monthly manual fixes, and later accounting distributions were out of balance with some invoices missing from receivables.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ coordinated fixes with the integration vendor, proposed a daily Avalara-to-Counterpoint audit, evaluated a replacement integration, and keeps distributions and tax uploads reconciled. When distributions fell out of balance in 2026, we called an emergency session with the vendor, analyzed the distributions, and linked or corrected the missing invoices while the root cause was fixed.
The result
Distributions stayed in balance in the weeks that followed.
2021 – 2025
Counterpoint back-office integrations
The challenge
Hagar's operations depend on Counterpoint working with its shipping, sales tax, card payment and accounts receivable systems.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ mapped FedEx Ship Manager into Counterpoint, moved systems to a new server, and connected an AR automation platform — exporting invoices with generated PDFs, importing payments back as cash receipts and creating PDFs for historical invoices. We also upgraded the card payment integration and added card processing and customer-group pricing to the parts store.
2025 – present
Fractional IT leadership and security
The challenge
Hagar needed vendor-neutral IT guidance across servers, backups, security and software, including support for a new sister service company.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ runs regular IT leadership calls, set up the databases and payment processing for the new service company, evaluated mobile picking for the warehouse, added malware protection to the parts store, laid out upgrade options for the aging Magento version, advised on server monitoring, backups and Microsoft 365, and planned an expanded online parts catalog.
2021 – 2022
Parts store rebuilt on Magento 2
The challenge
Hagar's biggest challenge is identifying the part a customer needs. The new site needed manufacturer and model navigation, a parts request form, customer-specific pricing for national accounts, better search, new hosting and tax handling.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ led the rebuild with the development and hosting partners: manufacturer pages, model categories built from Hagar's item lists, model images, a parts request page, extensions for customer-specific shopping and a data migration and go-live plan. A per-model parts index was built from licensed data sets, and search personalization followed launch.
The result
The new store launched in early 2022, followed by the Searchspring personalization phase.
