The work
November 2025 – in progress
Shopify Plus and NetSuite program
The challenge
Carl's Golfland is moving from Magento to Shopify Plus while replacing Counterpoint with NetSuite. Its requirements go well beyond standard Shopify: club, ball and wedge configurators, pricing policy rules, POS, gift cards that work in store and online, and a customized shipping workflow with order routing.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ compared the Shopify agency proposals and, once Teifi Digital was chosen, reviewed the scope of work line by line with the client — expanding discovery, defining the configurators and planning a custom theme and shipping bridge. We evaluated integration platform options, joined architecture discovery for order routing and inventory sync, SEO discovery for redirect mapping, and design reviews for product pages, and we lead the NetSuite category mapping, search reconnection and gift-card options in weekly working sessions, while keeping the live Magento site running.
December 2025 – present
Product and customer data ready for migration
The challenge
Decades of Counterpoint customer records held duplicates and inconsistent phone numbers, and a golf catalog with up to four grid dimensions doesn't fit Shopify's three-option variant model or map directly to NetSuite.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ wrote the customer clean-up — an inactivity cutoff, phone standardization and merge scripts — exported Counterpoint data into the new product schema, consolidated size and length attributes, flagged POS-only items, built subcategory lookup tables and proposed a custom product importer. We also set up read-only AI access to Counterpoint data with customer details masked before they leave the database.
January – June 2025
Used clubs program launch
The challenge
Carl's Golfland wanted to sell trade-in clubs directly online in time for peak golf season, without hurting SEO or search.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ designed a simplified used-club product type with condition attributes and SEO tags, an import template, Counterpoint categories and tax mapping, shipping groups and separate filtering, and supported the build and final review with the Magento developers.
The result
The program was approved for launch in May 2025.
2024 – 2026
Keeping the Magento store secure, compliant and running
The challenge
While the new platform is built, the Magento store still has to handle fraud screening, state shipping restrictions, PCI-driven upgrades, integration timing and holiday peaks.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ reviewed fraud tools and integrated Signifyd with order processing, set up shipping restrictions for products that can't ship to certain states, planned the Counterpoint upgrade for PCI compliance, rescheduled integration imports away from order releases, configured the checkout and address autocomplete, held a code freeze before the holidays, added protection against new Magento vulnerabilities, and proposed fulfillment routing that favors locations with stock on hand.
April – September 2024
Counterpoint–Magento integration replacement
The challenge
Carl's Golfland replaced its Counterpoint–Magento integration, and gift cards, payments, fraud checks, dropship orders and order status all had to keep flowing correctly.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ tested Retail Dimensions' connector on staging across gift card, fraud, dropship and status scenarios, then imported production orders into a Counterpoint practice company every few minutes before cutover, and later added returns and credit memo import.
2021 – 2022
Warehouse management (SkuVault) integration with Counterpoint
The challenge
A new warehouse was opening in early 2022, and SkuVault had to be connected to Counterpoint with each order routed to the right store or warehouse.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ reviewed the SkuVault proposal and order flow, worked with Mainspring on a SkuVault-to-Counterpoint integration through the Counterpoint API, and designed a stored procedure to assign every order to its fulfilling location.
2020 – 2023
Magento 2 checkout, data and customization improvements
The challenge
The store needed faster shipping rates at checkout, reliable Counterpoint product imports, product markup accepted by Google Merchant Center, and fully manageable custom club and wedge options.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ managed the developer and extension vendors: auto-selecting the best ShipperHQ rate in one-step checkout, fixing product import edge cases, coordinating the SEO markup upgrade with the marketing agency, exporting review data and scoping the wedge builder and custom club improvements.
The result
The product markup was confirmed on the live site in 2021, and the custom club improvements shipped in 2023.
