The work
May 2024 – April 2025
Hyvä front end
The challenge
The storefront was slow and heavy, and combining a new front end with a Magento version upgrade risked the Counterpoint integration and the budget.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ scoped the project to a Hyvä front end only, deferring the version upgrade to protect the integration, managed the development partner, rebuilt the Searchspring integration on new templates, deferred third-party JavaScript, and ran go-live and the post-launch fixes.
The result
The Hyvä storefront went live in April 2025.
2024 – 2026
Tax, shipping protection and operations integrations
The challenge
IDJNow wanted order protection that works with kits, quotes and marketplace orders, a move from TaxJar to Avalara, and less manual shipping and quoting.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ set up Route shipping protection with an order-grid flag, a Counterpoint pay code and marketplace exclusions; moved sales tax to Avalara with sandbox testing, marketplace rules, exemption attributes and refund fixes; mapped ShipWorks to Magento; and connected HubSpot to the quote system.
December 2025 – in progress
Roadmap: Magento 2.4.8, Hyvä Checkout and passwordless login
The challenge
Checkout and login friction, extension compatibility and security pointed to the next round of platform work.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ ran a strategy session on AI and marketplace trends, evaluated checkout options and a separate store for a new brand, introduced a Hyvä Checkout partner, and is scoping the Magento 2.4.8 upgrade with the Counterpoint changes and passwordless login it needs.
2022 – present
Upgrades, hosting stability and data recovery
The challenge
Magento upgrades brought integration errors, NCR API changes threatened the Counterpoint connection, server changes caused slow admin, stalled imports, broken feeds and intermittent customer errors, and a data issue required a catalog restore.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ coordinated the developer, connector vendor and host through each upgrade, replaced expiring API keys and upgraded the Counterpoint API, escalated hosting incidents to get imports, jobs and feeds running, specified the server and caching changes that stopped intermittent errors, supported the database restore and catalog recovery, added card-testing protections, and moved IDJNow to its own Cloudflare account in May 2026.
The result
Imports were restored after the 2025 hosting incident, and the site ran clean after the June 2026 server changes.
September 2026
California privacy compliance
The challenge
PeakBeyond™'s audit found the website didn't yet meet California privacy requirements.
What we did
We flagged the gaps, and IDJNow updated its cookie banner, privacy choices link, cookie policy and privacy disclosures.
The result
The main website updates were completed in September 2026.
2021 – 2022
Magento 1 to Magento 2 with Counterpoint
The challenge
IDJNow was mid-way through a move to Magento 2, including a Counterpoint connector with open issues in order export, inventory and customer handling, and needed to be sure nothing critical to daily operations fell out of scope.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ kicked off with a commerce consulting engagement and ran launch planning, weekly calls and ticket follow-up with the developer and connector vendor. We coordinated the clean-install tasks, extension choices, transactional email and help-desk evaluations, and testing before go-live.
The result
Magento 2 was live by spring 2022, with Magento 1 kept only for a single marketplace sync.
2021
New site search and recommendations
The challenge
Search, filtering and recommendations had to move from Magento 1 to Magento 2 with matching URLs and features such as financing messages.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ brought in Searchspring and managed the implementation — testing, mobile layout, filters, financing badges on results and preserved search URLs — plus product recommendations.
The result
Search launched with financing messaging and the original URL format intact.
