The work
May – October 2025
Magento upgrade, Hyvä storefront and new hosting
The challenge
The site needed a Magento upgrade and a faster, redesigned storefront, plus a move to new managed hosting — without disrupting sales, checkout or search.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ planned and led the program with the development and hosting partners: theme build, menu redesign, integration compatibility and the launch runbook. We ran the cutover and resolved launch-morning issues, delivered a detailed root-cause analysis of checkout order failures to the checkout provider, and then hardened the new site — firewall rules and security patches, category and URL clean-up, Merchant Center fixes and retiring the old servers.
The result
The new Hyvä storefront launched on October 15, 2025.
December 2024 – May 2025
Platform decision and storefront redesign
The challenge
The site needed a redesign and a faster front end, and Frank's weighed Shopify Plus (lower maintenance) against staying on Magento with a Hyvä storefront (a faster site on its existing platform).
What we did
PeakBeyond™ ran the comparison — Shopify Plus demos and a trial store, development estimates for both options, and a review of extension and shipping impact — and led weekly design reviews for product, category and mobile pages: grouped products, swatches, clearer stock and add-to-cart indicators, and SEO-friendly child product pages.
The result
Frank's chose Magento with Hyvä and approved the build in May 2025.
2023 – 2025
Site search and merchandising
The challenge
A large catalog with many brand categories needed better search, and the team wanted a no-code merchandising editor that works with Klaviyo.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ managed the Searchspring implementation, then evaluated and moved Frank's to Fast Simon, which went live in production in October 2025 ahead of the Hyvä launch. When brand pages came up empty, we traced it to how the search module read the brand category tree and got it fixed.
The result
Brand pages were fully populated again after the fix.
July 2026 – present
New sales channels and dropship
The challenge
Frank's wanted to grow marketplace sales while keeping restricted products where they belong.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ integrated TikTok Shop through a Magento extension customized to use parent product descriptions, fixed eBay pricing and category mapping, routed specialty marketplace orders into Counterpoint, and set up dropship through Spark Shipping with category blocks.
2026 – present
Technical SEO and accessibility
The challenge
After the relaunch, Frank's wanted stronger organic search — duplicate meta descriptions, a sitemap without products and duplicate headings needed fixing — and sale prices weren't read correctly by screen readers.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ commissioned an SEO and analytics audit, rebuilt the sitemap and robots rules, added a product meta description template and human-written category descriptions, ran follow-up SEO scans, and worked with the search vendor on accessible price display.
2020 – 2026
Counterpoint and marketplace order operations
The challenge
Marketplace orders were getting stuck before reaching Counterpoint, renumbered items broke imports, thousands of items were flagged discontinued online only, and back-ordered kits weren't holding stock.
What we did
PeakBeyond™ worked with the integration and development partners on order import failures and retries, designed a back-order setting that commits stock, cleaned up discontinued flags in bulk, set marketplace pricing rules, confirmed full-page caching in production and moved checkout to the new Bolt API. We still maintain the Counterpoint side — shipping-cost fields, marketplace ship-by dates, return reasons, reconciliation reports and a Counterpoint-to-ShipStation inventory sync.
The result
More than 8,000 incorrectly discontinued items were corrected in bulk.
